- Permanent building with yard, garden and should have parking arrangements.
- Clean and comfortable rooms with basic furniture.
- Restaurant should be clean and hygienic.
- 25% staff should be involved in service and production sector should be trained.
2 star Hotels
- Better facilities as compare to 1 star hotels.
- There shall be safe deposit locker.
- There shall be information desk.
- Television should be present in some rooms.
- 50% staff involved in service and production should be trained.
- 25% service staff should have the knowledge of the foreign language.
- 80% managers should have diploma in hotel management.
- At least 20 bed rooms should be present in two star hotels.
3 star Hotels
- There should be at least 30 rooms.
- T.V. in all rooms.
- Air condition should be present in each rooms.
- 25% front line staff should be able to speak and write in English.
- Popular uniform should be provided to staff.
- Telephone with direct local call facilities in each rooms.
- Travel desk should be present.
- Some extra rooms and bath rooms supplies should be present in each rooms.
4 star Hotels
- At least 50 rooms should be present.
- Coffee shop, bar, swimming pool, health club, hair drier, hair dressing, and beauty saloon should be present.
- 24 hours room service and staff on duty should be present.
- Hotel should be well decorated and furnished.
- World wide telephone communication in each rooms.
- Baby sitting service should be available.
- A/C, minibar, T.V, safe deposit should also present in each rooms.
- 75% staff should be well trained.
5star Hotels
- There should be at least 70 rooms.
- Better facilities and quality service compared to 4 star Hotels.
- There should be arrangement of minimum 2 superior/ speciality restaurants.
- All the staffs should be well trained.
- Shopping arcade should be present.
- There shall be arrangement of sports facilities like squash court, tennis court, table tennis, snooker etc.
- Swimming pool, casino should be present.
